Membership the next treasurer can run

Tell us how your club's membership works. It keeps running the same way when the treasurer changes.

How does membership work at your club?

Example: an answer, and what we would ask next

One fee, $30 a year, due at the AGM in March. Most people pay by bank transfer.

If someone hasn't paid by the AGM, how long until they stop being a member?

About ten minutes. Free, no card.

A membership rules page listing the club's name, membership types and fees, membership year, pro rata, grace period and family discount, with a Looks right button.
The rules page from a test run with a made-up club, Example Camera Club. Top of the page shown.

Your rules, written down

When the questions are done, you get a page like this to check. Fix anything in the chat, share it with the committee and keep it. We set your site up from it.

One simple fee
Most clubs have one fee and one due date. That takes a few answers to set up, not an afternoon.
Handover in one click
When the treasurer changes at the AGM, the new one gets the login and the history, not a USB stick.
Nothing to maintain
Reminders and receipts go out on their own. You check in when you want to, not because something broke.

Bring the spreadsheet you have

Upload the member list you already keep, whatever the columns are called. We show how each column maps and which rows need a look, before anything is set up.

Optional. Stored encrypted and deleted after 30 days if you don't go ahead.

A spreadsheet preview showing how many members are current, rows to check, notes on the data, and a table of how each column maps to a member field.
The preview for the same club, from a made-up list with a few deliberate mistakes.

Then a person reads it

One of our team reads your rules and your list, and gets back to you within 2 working days to go through them and what setting up your site involves. Nothing is charged until you say go.

One price, no cut

A$59 a month, or A$590 a year for the whole organisation, however many members you have. Members pay by card or direct debit into your own Stripe account at Stripe's standard rate, and we take nothing from their payments.

Includes renewals, reminders, receipts, an online join form with pro rata worked out, GST either way, and exports for Xero or MYOB.

Questions

Where does the members' money go?

Straight into your organisation's own Stripe account and from there to your bank. We never hold your members' money.

Is our member list safe?

Your spreadsheet is stored encrypted and deleted after 30 days if you don't go ahead. We only use it to set up your site. The details are in our privacy policy.

We're not registered for GST. Is that a problem?

No. Many small clubs aren't. Tell us in the setup questions and your receipts won't show GST. If you are registered, we produce tax invoices with your ABN.

Do I have to decide anything now?

No. The setup questions are free and you can stop at any point. At the end you get your membership rules written down, which is useful even if you go no further.

What happens when the treasurer changes?

The new treasurer gets their own login and the full history. Nothing lives on one person's laptop.
